International Conference "STI-Gigaku"
STI-Gigaku (The International Conference on "Science of Technology Innovation") is a series of the SDGs -focused international conferences mainly organized by Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) students every year since FY2016. The participants are mostly NUT, KOSEN (National Institute of Technology/College of Technology) in Japan, universities in Japan and overseas, companies, and local communities.

This conference has been dedicated to bringing together all the above respective parties in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by sharing their progress and achievements in education and related research collaboration. The conference has grown to become one of our most important international conferences as a role in providing opportunities to facilitate the discussion of issues and solutions on global topics such as energy, climate change, and poverty and hunger to bring about changes in the society, as well as to raise awareness on the SDGs nationwide and worldwide.
